Tempered glass is the industry standard for premium bathroom scales. It's durable, easy to clean, and gives a high-end feel. Look for 5mm or 6mm thickness — thinner glass flexes under heavier loads. ABS plastic is the budget alternative, suitable for entry-level markets.
The standard capacity is 180kg/400lb with 100g/0.2lb resolution. For premium markets, consider 250kg capacity with 50g resolution. The auto-calibration feature ensures accuracy throughout the battery life.
Backlit LCD is the most common display. Look for large digits (at least 25mm tall) with a wide viewing angle. Some premium models offer color LCD displays with body composition data visualization.
Retail-ready packaging is essential for brick-and-mortar channels. Mail-box packaging (designed to survive shipping without additional protection) is critical for e-commerce. We offer both options with custom branding.

The smart scale market is projected to grow at 12% CAGR through 2030, driven by health-conscious consumers and telemedicine adoption. Here's why this matters for B2B buyers:
Consumers no longer just want to know their weight. They want body fat percentage, muscle mass, bone mass, water percentage, and BMI. Our Bluetooth body fat scales measure all of these metrics and sync data to a smartphone app.
Our scales work with the AiLink app, which is compatible with Apple Health and Google Fit. For OEM clients, we offer white-label app customization — your brand name, your logo, your data dashboard.
When sourcing Bluetooth scales, pay attention to: 4-electrode vs 8-electrode measurement (8-electrode provides segmental analysis), Bluetooth version (5.0+ for stable connectivity), and app platform support (iOS + Android minimum).

Understanding the difference between OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and ODM (Original Design Manufacturer) is crucial for making the right sourcing decision.
In the OEM model, you provide the complete product design — engineering drawings, specifications, and sometimes molds. We manufacture to your exact specifications. This is ideal when you have a unique product concept and want full control over the design.
In the ODM model, you select from our existing product designs and customize them with your branding, colors, and packaging. This is faster and more cost-effective, as the product is already engineered and tested.
For most buyers, starting with ODM is the smarter choice. It lets you test the market quickly with lower investment. Once you've validated demand, you can transition to OEM for differentiation. We support both models and can guide you through the transition.

Welcome to our 3,000 square meter manufacturing facility in Banfu Town, Zhongshan. Let us walk you through how a scale is made — from raw materials to finished product.
Every component — load cells, glass platforms, PCB boards, LCD panels — goes through a rigorous inspection before entering the production area. We check dimensions, functionality, and visual quality. Any rejected items are immediately returned to the supplier.
Our electronics assembly area uses both manual and automated soldering. Each PCB is visually inspected under magnification, and key solder joints are tested for electrical continuity.
Tempered glass platforms are cleaned, aligned, and prepared for silk-screen printing. For OEM clients, this is where your logo is applied using precision screen-printing technology.
The glass platform, PCB, load cell sensors, feet, and battery compartment are assembled into the finished product. Each assembly station has a standardized work instruction sheet.
Every single scale — not a random sample, but 100% of production — goes through functional testing. We verify weight accuracy at multiple points, test the auto-on/off function, check the LCD display, and verify the low-battery indicator.
Scales are individually boxed in color boxes, then packed into master cartons. Before container loading, our QC team performs AQL 2.5 sampling inspection, checking carton weights, labeling, and conducting a final functional spot test.

If you are importing electronic scales into the EU, US, or other regulated markets, compliance certifications are not optional — they are legal requirements. Customs can seize non-compliant products, and retailers will not list uncertified items. Here is what each certification means and how to verify that your supplier actually holds valid certificates.
The CE mark is mandatory for electronic products sold in the EU and EEA. For scales, it covers two directives: the EMC Directive (electromagnetic compatibility) and the Low Voltage Directive (electrical safety). Some weighing instruments also fall under the Non-Automatic Weighing Instruments (NAWI) Directive if they are used for legal trade purposes.
The Federal Communications Commission requires electronic devices sold in the US to be tested for radio frequency emissions. Digital scales with LCD displays fall under FCC Part 15 Subpart B (unintentional radiators). Bluetooth scales require additional Part 15 Subpart C certification (intentional radiators).
The Restriction of Hazardous Substances directive limits hazardous materials in electronics, including lead, mercury, cadmium, and specific flame retardants. RoHS is mandatory for the EU market and increasingly required by US retailers like Walmart and Target.

One of the most common questions we receive from new buyers is: "How many units do I need to order, how much does it cost, and how long does it take?" This guide gives you real numbers based on our 14 years of manufacturing experience.
MOQ varies by product type and customization level. Here is a practical breakdown:
Pricing depends on volume, customization, and component quality. These are approximate FOB Zhongshan ranges:
These are reference prices for full-container or near-container orders. Smaller quantities carry a 10–20% premium. Custom packaging, color boxes, and manuals add $0.30–$0.80 per unit.
Standard terms are 30% deposit by T/T before production and 70% balance before shipment. For established clients, we offer L/C at sight and flexible terms. Sample orders are paid in full upfront.

Private labeling — putting your brand name and logo on a proven product — is the fastest and lowest-risk way to enter the scale market. You skip the engineering risk while building brand equity. Here is how the process works end to end.
Start by selecting from our existing ODM models. We have over 117 tested designs across 7 categories: bathroom scales, body fat scales, kitchen scales, luggage scales, pocket scales, baby scales, and postal scales. Each model has a proven track record — load cell tested, PCB validated, and field-proven with existing clients.
For first-time brand builders, we recommend starting with bathroom scales or kitchen scales. They have the lowest MOQ, simplest supply chain, and broadest market demand.
Private labeling is not one-size-fits-all. You choose how much customization you want:
For e-commerce (Amazon, Shopify), we design mail-box packaging that survives shipping without additional protection. For retail channels, we provide shelf-ready packaging with barcodes (UPC/EAN), multi-language labels, and compliance marks. We handle the artwork — you approve the proof.
Your branded product needs its own certification package. We handle the testing and documentation — CE, FCC, RoHS, and more — under your company name. The certificates belong to you, not us. This is critical for Amazon brand registry and retail onboarding.
Once samples are approved and certifications are in hand, mass production begins. We provide weekly progress updates with photos. Before shipment, you receive a pre-shipment inspection report with AQL 2.5 sampling results. You can also visit the factory or hire a third-party inspection agent.
A typical first private label run of 1,000 bathroom scales with logo printing and custom packaging requires roughly $5,000–$8,000 for the product (at $5–$8/unit) plus $500–$1,000 for tooling and artwork setup. Bluetooth smart scales with app branding start around $12,000–$20,000 for a 1,000-unit run. These are starting points — actual costs depend on model and customization level.
